Welcome to our Home and Garden, "Bridgewater ".
Our home was built 20 years ago and was literally in the middle of a paddock.
The big gum tree down towards the ramp was about the only tree, so that had to change.
My love of roses set a theme. Bill not only incorporated them in the garden but made a show which when all out takes your breath away.
Originally the garden was not set out as it is today. Experience and other factors - soil, weather, water (lack of it) and the need for shelter brought about what it is now.
We were very fortunate to have a tireless worker and a man with a vision to create this paradise that we call home. Bill knew what he wanted to do and did it.
The layout as it is now would be 12 years old.
The trees are the crowning glory and the white roses against the green hedges and lawn are a feature, giving a formal look but a relaxed country feel.
We have over the last few years been able to include more exotic type plants, as shelter and protection has been created by the trees.
Our three children have grown up with many changes in the garden. The biggest being the change from a deserted bare paddock where they would feed the lambs at the front door, to a beautiful grassed, shaded and fenced playground where many happy hours were spent.
We all have a favourite place and we hope you can get a little feel of the happiness this garden brings.
